WHAT IS SPARQ?
The Nike SPARQ name is an acronym made from Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness. The company is grounded in sports, science, design and innovation. Nike SPARQ created marketable concepts in the high school athlete in the United States, which then later became popular worldwide. SPARQ has created the first-ever system developed to measure sport specific athleticism. SPARQ mission is to enable athletes reach his or her potential using natural, scientifically based training methods. This is a great opportunity for individuals and institutes to take advantage of Nike SPARQ’S commitment to various sports and health and fitness.
HOW DOES SPARQ WORK?
The first step is to get your SPARQ Rating. SPARQ has comprehensive assessment protocols for six sports – American football, boys’ football, girls’ football, baseball, fastpitch, boys’ basketball and girls’ basketball, as well as a general athletic assessment – designed to test the skills and unique brand of athleticism relevant to each sport. What these tests do is reveal to athletes their strengths and weaknesses, helping them to better target their training.
After revealing your strengths and weaknesses using the SPARQ rating system, athletes, trainers and coaches know what aspects of your athleticism need improvement. SPARQ then have SPARQ training drill, programs and world class SPARQ trainers to assist individual progress.
THE SPARQ RATING
The SPARQ Rating is a powerful new tool for measuring overall athleticism. The results of four or six simple test are combined into single score, which shows athletes and other coaches, trainers exactly where they can improve their athletic performance through training.
THE SPARQ TRAINING
SPARQ’s philosophy is what you can measure, you can improve. The SPARQ Rating tells you exactly where your opportunities for improvement are. SPARQ Training gives individuals the drills; programs, insight, and information they need to work smarter and get better.
